We were recently sent a Le Toy Van playmat and a London car set by Dolls Houses to review. Both the boy and the girl will quite happily sit and play with cars for at least half an hour so it was a great combination of products for them to review. We already have two playmats but this one is very different. It has a 3D effect which I haven't seen before. It means that they can play whilst looking at all the different parts of the town clearly. The mat is also very thin so it rolls up nice and small if you need it to. The cars are great. They are wooden and chunky. The bright colours were a hit and I like that they include all the emergency services.

I love that the play mat has a different perspective to it than most. It makes it easy for the children to see what places there are for the cars to visit.
The cars are sturdy and lovely colours. They seem to withstand more than the boy's metal cars which are forever getting scraped.
There were stickers on the cars to show the windows which my children quickly pulled off. It would be nice if the windows were painted on or not so easy to take off.
Would I buy it?
I would definitely buy the playmat. I think it is great. I would probably buy the cars but I have to admit that I might look for a brand where you can't peel bits off. Although this could just be because my son is three. I guess that an older child wouldn't do it. Both sets have brought a huge amount of enjoyment.
