We were recently sent a selection of Old El Paso's new range to try out at home. Old El Paso are already a regular favourite in our household, and these new additions looked fabulous so I was excited about trying them.
My daughter isn't a big fan of chicken, so I made the One Pan Rice Meal for my husband and I. We'd cooked a chicken the day before for lunch, so we thought it would be a good way to use the leftover chicken. It was a perfect level of spice and the flavour was really good. We had plenty left over, which we ate the next day, cold for lunch.
We went away last weekend with friends and the family, so I took the nachos kit and the tortilla bake with us to cook up for everyone. The children loved the nachos, which I did in the oven. I didn't put too much of the salsa in because I didn't want it to be too spicy. We sat outside and ate them in the sunshine, which was a real treat. We haven't got a garden at home, so it was nice to be able to sit out.
The tortilla bake was incredibly easy to make. As we were on holiday, I didn't have a choice of what to cook it in, so I had to do it in a circular dish rather than a rectangular one. It didn't make much difference though I don't think! I have to say that this was completely delicious, and I will most definitely be making it again. There were absolutely no leftovers from anyone, which is completely rare in our household. It is a fantastic alternative to lasagne and cooks a lot quicker too.
I am really looking forward to trying the rest of the products we were sent. To find out more, check out Old El Paso's website.
