No spend January, Dry January, New Year's Resolutions. We're very good at cutting back in the new year. It's a time when people are watching what they spend, what they eat and trying to make big life changes. I'm not great at resolutions, and there's no way I fancy cutting out alcohol for a month, but I do like to make some changes where I can. January is a great time to update your make-up collection. Chuck old stuff, clean those brushes and invest in a few new items. With Natural Collection from Boots, you can update the contents of your make-up bag for under £10!
Here are my top five items that I couldn't be without in my make-up bag. They're my daily go-to make-up for the school run and meeting B&B guests.
The Natural Collection Brow Kit is one of the best things for my eyebrows that I have ever owned. It's pretty obvious that I don't get my eyebrows done at all, largely because the maintenance puts me off. The brow kit is fantastic and it makes a huge difference simply to tame unruly brows.
Ever since I became a parent, a cover up stick has rarely been out of my sight, let alone my make-up bag. It's honestly the one thing I panic about a bit if I can't find it in the morning. I need it to get rid of the bags under my eyes! This one is in the shade 'fair', to match my winter skin!
Another thing I cannot leave the house without is mascara. I like to be able to look as if I had at least a couple more hours sleep than I actually have! Mascara is my friend. I can't believe it took me so long to realise how much difference it made to my eyes. I like to use waterproof mascara purely because I'm likely to get wet living in Yorkshire.
I am seriously impressed with the waterproof mascara. I haven't ever found one that doesn't come off even in the swimming pool, but this one is a winner. It didn't even end up all over my face when I went in the steam room!
This time of year, another staple in my make-up bag are bronzing balls. These Sun Tint Bronzing Pearls in tropical tan are a welcome addition to my collection and make me look less pasty in the winter months!
My top five is completed with a Juicy Lips Gloss in Turkish Delight. I might not necessarily use this every day on the school run, but it adds a lovely splash of colour to my lips and looks really natural. It also smells absolutely incredible!
The absolute best part of the Natural Collection from Boots is that all the items cost just £1.99. Thankfully, the price doesn't reflect the quality and these are all amazing. My particular favourite is the waterproof mascara. The range is huge and I am sure you will find something that you love in it. It's also easy to take the look from a day to evening look as well.
