Treating myself and the cats with Whiskas #WhiskasSchoolsOut

I'm not very good at taking time off. I try to take one day a week off the B&B and also break from blogging that day too, but it rarely happens. Truth be told, I'm just not great at relaxing! The only time that I ever really relax is when I am forced to, either by my husband or my cats! My husband is very good at pointing out when I need to relax and chill out for a bit. My cats tend to just sit on me, so I can't move. I don't begrudge them though, and I really enjoy that moment of peace and relative quiet. They obviously get a lot of fuss and attention at the same time, so we're all winners!

We have two cats, Dylan and Bella. Bella (tortoiseshell) is 13. We got her as a kitten with her brother Bruce. Sadly Bruce is no longer with us, but we now have Dylan (tabby) who is three. We got him from the cat rescue last year and he's been a joyful addition to the family. Three is a great age for a cat. He's full of youthful exuberance and plays all kinds of games with us.

We were sent a lovely hamper of goodies from  WHISKAS®, and these two were only too willing to try out their new treats and enjoy some pampering!

"As they grow from kittens to cats, WHISKAS® are constantly looking for ways to improve nutrition and care to help them lead a healthy and happy life. And as the most trusted UK brand for cat related care, WHISKAS® strive to be the go to source for all owners."

I also made sure I took some time out for me, with a lovely cup of tea. If I'm lucky, I can pop my book and a cup of tea next to the comfy chair in the kitchen, ready for when I sit down. That way, once the cats have jumped on my lap and had some fuss, I can sit and read my book and drink my cup of tea. Absolute bliss!

Check out this super-cute video of Kitten Kollege from Whiskas. The idea of kitten school is a great one and the extracurricular activities in this are so funny. I love watching kittens and it has totally made me want another one! Of course, if we did get one, we would definitely have to stock up on plenty of Kitten Food,

What do you think? Have you ever had kittens who could have done with a trip to kitten kollege? I remember Bruce used to like climbing up people's legs when they were standing up when he was tiny, which was ok when you had trousers on, but rather painful if you had shorts on! He could have done with a lesson on how not to do that. At least he never attempted to climb up the curtains!

Thank you so much to Whiskas for our hamper and toys for the cats. They are most appreciated by Dylan and Bella, and my daughter loves playing with the toys and Dylan. For more information about Whiskas and their products, check out their website.

Disclosure: This post is a collaboration with WHISKAS®, but all thoughts are my own. Check out their website for more information on their cat food and their YouTube channel for fantastic Kitten Kollege videos.
