Postman Pat is 30!

It turns out that I am not the only one turning 30 this Autumn, as everyone's favourite deliverer of mail, Postman Pat is joining me! The show is the longest running animated TV series on the BBC and will be celebrating its 30th birthday on the 16th of September. To celebrate, a limited edition Happy Birthday Pat DVD and CD are being released on the 12th of September.

Having read my previous blog post about our local postman, I was kindly sent a copy of the celebratory DVD by Postman Pat's representatives, for my son to review.

As soon as the boy saw it, he got the box open and took a good look at the DVD and CD, along with the sparkly sleeve! He then sang Happy Birthday, which has been a favourite since his birthday (back in March).

The DVD has over three hours of entertainment, and eight different episodes. The favourite so far is Postman Pat's Great Big Party where the people of Greendale throw a surprise party for Pat.

The boy even joined in on his guitar at this point!

The DVD also comes with a separate CD which has fifteen tracks on. We usually listen to music when we have our lunch so ended up having a wiggle to this whilst we ate our sandwiches.

Postman Pat is a true classic. I enjoyed watching it with my son and the songs on the CD are catchy and easy to sing along to. It was the first DVD he picked to come on holiday with us to France and he is enjoying ploughing through the episodes. I would highly recommend the DVD and CD to all other Postman Pat fans - it's a winner in our household.
