We were invited to go to the National Railway Museum in York last weekend to see what is going on this half term. Unfortunately my daughter had suspected chicken pox and was rather unwell, so we weren't able to go. However, I thought I'd write a quick post about what is going on there this week.
This week at the National Railway Museum is Wizard Week! There are so many exiting things happening at the museum, including rides on the steam train from the Harry Potter films. If you have any budding wizards in your house then get yourself down there. If they go dressed up then they can enter the Best Dressed Wizard competition.
There is plenty to entertain you - wizard duals, owl displays, a magician and a friendly dragon called Derek. Obviously there are all the other delights of the Railway Museum, the engines, the adventure playground and the miniature railway.
For some of the activities there is a charge, but entrance to the museum is free.
Get yourself down there - it ends on the 19th of February.
