I'm sticking my hand firmly in the air and saying that this week has been a really tough one. My dad has had his triple bypass now and is recovering in hospital. I am hopefully off to Oxford to see him tomorrow. My daughter is on the mend having been in hospital (briefly) with a respiratory tract infection. in spite of this, however, there have still been moments which have made me happy. So, without further ado, here is what has made me happy this week:
- The random lady who walked with me from the train station to the theatre under her umbrella even though it was out of her way, just so that I didn't get wet because I didn't have a coat. Acts of kindness like this make me so ridiculously happy. I love it when people act so selflessly.
- Celebrating nine years of marriage with my husband. A night out is so rare for us these days. I think we have been to the theatre three times in four years! We went to see Legally Blonde the musical which was fantastic.
- One day of sunshine to dry some washing. Well, one day is better than none!
- A kiss from my little girl. It was sloppy and horrible and I had to wash my cheek after but it was the first kiss she has ever given me and it was beautiful!
