Trunki Snoozihedz review

We were recently sent Leeroy the Lion from the Trunki Snoozihedz range. Given that we have been travelling around the UK a lot in the car for the past few weeks, I was excited to see how well it worked. We were also sent a seatbelt pad to attach to the seatbelt.

Leeroy is small and soft. You unzip him to find an inflatable pillow and a blanket inside which are perfect for travelling with your little one. My son opened it up and lay on the floor with his head under the pillow and tucked himself under the blanket. He was so pleased with it. The seatbelt pad could also be used on a pushchair.

What they say

Leeroy the Lion is the ultimate travel essential for the car, plane or train. The cute character simply unzips to reveal an inflatable insert for the pillow and a plush fleece blanket, ensuring little ones are comfy and warm from head to toe. The blanket also features a pocket for teddy to take some shut-eye too.
SnooziHedz features the unique Trunki Grip™ on both the pillow and blanket. This enables parents to connect the blanket to the pillow preventing it from sliding off in transit, leaving parents to relax safe in the knowledge their little one is tucked up and toasty!

Seatbelt pad - New to the SnooziHedz range are the matching seatbelt straps for extra comfort on the move. The wrap around strap has a handy pocket for an mp3 player, and the unique Trunki grip™ for keeping sunglasses or ted close to hand.

Good points

The little pocket on the seatbelt pad is great. It is big enough to fit an ipod so great for an older child. My son kept a small car in it for the journey.
The Trunki grip is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Throughout the eight plus hours I have driven alone over many days I have never once had to pass back a muslin for my son. It has stayed put. Such a simple invention but so effective.

The blanket is warm but doesn't take up too much room. It saved us having to lug around a duvet which was great.
The large pocket on the front of the blanket is great too - a perfect toy storage spot!

Bad points

The only thing we experienced was that the blanket didn't quite cover my son whilst we were in the car but I think that this is mainly because he kept moving it. My daughter didn't have the same problem and I think this is just because she is younger!

Would I buy it?

I would definitely buy the seatbelt pad. It is fantastic and I love the special Trunki Grip which keeps a soft toy (or muslin in our case) safe for the journey. It means I no longer have to scrabble around or stop the car to find a lost muslin. The little pocket on the front is excellent for containing a small toy or ipod.

I would most probably buy one of the snoozihedz. I like the idea and I think on a smaller child it would definitely work. It didn't quite cover my son in his car seat, possibly because he kept wriggling! However, on my daughter it covered her completely and it didn't bother her being attached up around the top of the seat. It will be coming with us on holiday in a week or so and it will be interesting to see how it works on a plane.
