What has made me happy - week ten

What has made me happy.
Week ten.

It has been a rain-filled week. We have made the best of it but it has been difficult to find things to do with the children. We ended up going to soft play on Friday, just to have somewhere warm and dry to play. Although I have to admit that I really enjoy soft play and luckily the children are small enough that I 'have' to join them on everything.

So this week, what has made me happy is:

  • Exams are finally over. I had to resit one exam so the process has dragged on a little. Whether or not I have passed philosophy I will just have to wait and see! I have passed the year though so if I want to continue then I can drop philosophy and just do politics and economics.
  • Spending time at my Grandma's. We haven't had a chance to stay over there for ages. Even though it absolutely poured it down while we were there, the boy still managed to grab a seat in an amazing machine!

  • My daughter is getting really chatty now and it is so lovely to hear new words every day. My son is so pleased that she can now say his name. It is tinged with a little sadness though as she is definitely no longer a baby and growing up so fast!
  • Baking. What else is there to do when it is raining! We made these courgette, raisin and apple muffins to use up the fresh courgettes from my Grandma's garden.
