I was recently given the opportunity to review a blurb photobook. I had previously made a photobook for my son's first year and I thought it was about time I got round to making one for my daughter. It took me a very long time to make the book. Partly because I had deleted the pictures from my laptop so getting them off the hard drive took a while! Also, because I didn't have a lot of time so had to fit in the odd half an hour whenever I could. You have to download the software on to your computer which is useful because you don't have to be online to edit it. The picture below is the layout of the software as you are editing the book. It is simple to use and easy to edit. You can choose from many different backgrounds and layouts and you can resize photos simply. I found the software easy to use and navigate.

Good points
Easy to navigate around the software.
Simple to change the layout, use different backgrounds and change the number of pictures on a page.
Easy to edit pictures, change the size etc.
The software shows you when there is a problem with the pictures and offers you a spell check which was very convenient.
Bad points
It took me AGES to complete the book. However, that is purely because I wanted it to be perfect.
I didn't really like having to download software onto my computer.
Would I buy it?
I will post again when I have received it and let you know what the finished product looks like and then decide whether or not I would buy one.
If you want to have a look at the entire range that blurb offers, have a look at their website.
Disclaimer: I was provided with a code which enabled me to purchase a blurb photobook. This had no impact on my review. I will always write honestly about a product, be it good or bad.
