What has made me happy - week 33

It has been another busy week. Our weekly trip to toddler art group was slightly less messy this week. Well, at least I didn't come home covered in paint. There was still a sufficient amount of sand and paint consumed by the girl. On Saturday we went to IKEA and Toys R Us which are about a 50 minute drive away. We set off early and managed to get home in time for lunch which was quite a feat. I was so impressed with the children in Toys R Us. They showed more constraint than I ever did as a child. I love that tulips are once again in season. I now have the beautiful blooms on my mantelpiece, alongside a hyacinth and some daffodils!

Here is what has made me happy this week:

  • My lovely cats. It is rare that the boy washes the girl, so to catch a glimpse of him repaying the favour for once.
  • Freshly baked bread from the bread maker. This is the biggest and best loaf ever to come out!

  • The children guided me around Toys R Us. Amazingly we were in and out within fifteen minutes. The boy knew exactly what he wanted to spend his Christmas vouchers on, Mike the Knight characters.
  • Finding Bruce the cat hiding in the toy cupboard. It offered him an escape from two playing children who wanted to stroke him!

  • Living where we live. I know I say this all the time but I really love the scenery round here! It never fails to make me smile.

  • But the thing which has made me happiest is sorting out our hallway. There were shoes everywhere. One quick trip to IKEA and the hallway is clear. The children even have their own low down pegs so they can be a little more independent when we are getting ready to leave the house.

It would be great if you want to join in with 'What has made me happy' too. Have a think about the little things which have made a difference to your life this week.
