This month, the Centre Parcs Blogger Challenge involves planting seeds. We were sent some sunflower seeds to plant. My children need no excuse to get messy, so we popped our wellies on and headed out into the back yard to do some planting. I also had a load of pansies which needed popping in a pot, so we took those out too.
The girl loved making a little hole with her finger to put the seed into. Note the amount of soil on the ground which had somehow managed not to make it into the pot!
The boy planted his very well. I think he has been practising at nursery!
Here are their finished pots. We have put them on the sunniest windowsill in the house (we live in the north so it doesn't really get very sunny). When the sunflowers starts to grow, we will probably have to re-pot it as it they will quickly outgrow these tiny pots.
