I have had such a lot of fun being a Center Parcs Family Blogger over the past year. We had an amazing holiday at Whinfell Forest and we have really enjoyed taking part in all of the monthly challenges. The boy has been asking over the past week if we can go back to the amazing swimming pool with slides! Once I hopefully graduate next year, I can get a proper job and with any luck we can afford to go, perhaps with four generations again!
It seems quite fitting that this month's challenge is about making boats and setting sail. We are saying goodbye to an amazing year and letting it drift away. I have to admit that our boats might look a bit lame, possibly because they are, but they sail well, and yesterday's newspaper doesn't have much use! I made us a boat each, making sure the seams were straight and crisp, and lined them up ready for their journey. Then we walked to the canal near my mum's house and the boy found an excellent spot to launch our boats from.
They all sailed well, although the boy's had a slightly bumpy start and was nearly waterlogged. However, it recovered with a little TLC and they all sailed down the canal in a gentle breeze. I love how there is absolutely no disturbance to the water and the reflections were amazing!
For a chance to become the newest Tots100 Center Parcs Family Blogger and win a family break to a Center Parcs village of your choice, simply share your family’s sailing adventure on your blog! You can share a few snaps of your boat as it sets sail, or even tell us more about how you designed and made the boat.
All you need to do is tweet Tots100 a link to your blog post, letting them know that it’s your entry into this month’s challenge by including the @Tots100 and @CenterParcsUK handles and the hashtag #CPFamilyBreaks. The challenge closes on August 30th. For further details, click here.
