Hot Wheels 10-in-1 Super Trackset bundle review

We were recently sent a Hot Wheels super trackset bundle to review. I was looking forward to trying it because I have always loved playing with cars and my son and daughter are equally excited by them. Initially I was a bit stumped when I tried to set the track up, but I think I was just having a bit of a blonde moment and some kind of mental block on it. Once that had passed, I found subsequent tracks far easier to assemble. We also put some older batteries into the boosters, which meant that the car didn't go around the track properly. Once I had put some new batteries in, the car flew around perfectly.

The track fits together simply, meaning that a child can easily do it. The only part I found slightly more difficult were the loops, which took a fair amount of pushing together. I like the fact that the track is easy to put together and that you can build as many different sets as you like. That is one of the main draws with this set and justifies the retail price of £49.99, because you really can create so many ways to play. This is available to buy at Argos and Toys R Us, along with other retailers.

My top tip is to make sure that the batteries are full because otherwise cars simply drop off the track at the interchange points! Although this can make it quite entertaining guessing which time it was going to fly off. The set does not include batteries and you will need 4xD batteries to make the set work.

Good points
Loads of options for different tracks.
Easy to put together.
Great fun for all the family.
Great starter set.

Bad points
It might be good if there was more than just one car in the set. It would certainly make racing other cars a lot easier!

Would I buy it?
I would definitely consider buying it. We have had loads of fun with this trackset and it would make a really good Christmas gift for a girl or boy who loves cars. It would be a wonderful starter set if you don't already own any track, which we didn't.
