Week 85 - What has made me happy

My Grandma has finally started chemo. It took a ridiculously long time for her to begin, but it has finally started. She has had a good first week, which is amazing. The chemo isn't going to make the cancer go away, but should extend her life and she should feel better for some of that time. We went to visit my Grandma this weekend but my daughter threw up as we arrived so I couldn't risk staying! I ran in, got a towel and shouted goodbye. Definitely the shortest visit ever! I am pretty sure my daughter was just car sick as she was fine for the rest of the weekend. My car still stinks though. Urgh.

I have made progress in my dissertation so I feel like I am achieving something (about time too). I remain rather petrified about my final year at university, but I'm guessing that isn't going to change any time soon.

So, without further ado, here is what has made me happy this week...

Party invitationsMicro scooter
  • Sorting out party invitations for the children's birthdays. They are born a week apart so it's coming up to a busy time of year for us!
  • Watching my little girl scoot on her new scooter. She goes far too fast for my liking.

Sunrise DalesPink clouds
  • Some beautiful sunrises. We have had a few more dry days up here and some lovely winter sunshine which has been lovely. There is still an awful lot of rain though. I'm glad we live on a hill.

FrostRocky road ice cream

  • Chilly mornings. Frost can be so beautiful. The patterns it makes are quite spectacular.
  •  Going to the Yorkshire Dales ice cream farm with the kids and watching them devour a rocky road ice cream!
