The Photo Gallery - Week 177
Yellow
This is the laburnum tree at my Grandma's. Obviously it is not currently flowering, but when it is, it is absolutely stunning. The vibrancy of the yellow takes your breath away, and the smell is amazing! It's one of those things which you smell from around the corner, so you know what is coming!
It flowers for a decent amount of time and the weight of the flowers drag the branches of the tree down closer to the ground. It's as if they are making it easier for you to have a good sniff of the flowers! I remember sitting under this tree with my sister playing with the lead animals which used to belong to my mum. It's such a vivid memory, I think assisted by the link in my brain to the smell of the laburnum!
