I want a new phone.

Me and phones have a bit of a rubbish history in recent years. I have written about most of my woes previously on the blog. I had all kinds of problems with Nokia, having owned a Nokia for around 12 years, my first smartphone with them was shocking. I moved to Samsung and haven't looked back since.

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S2, which I have had for just over two years. I love it but it simply doesn't love me in the same way. Unrequited love is always a sad tale. Although sometimes it does have a happy ending (my husband and I have been together 14 years this month, in spite of my initial 17 year old unrequited love)! It's safe to say that my phone hasn't served me well over the past two years.

The Moon

I took this photo with my phone a couple of years ago and I love it. It's amazing!

So, what do I need and want my phone to do. Well, somehow making calls and sending/recevieng messages is no longer a priority. The main thing I want my phone to do is to have a really good camera, so that I can take great pictures. The majority of the pictures you see on this blog are taken with my phone, purely for convenience. It's simple and east. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a 16MP camera and some fabulous extras to ensure amazing photos.

I also want to take great videos to up my vlogging game! The S5 has some amazing video capabilities and I would love to start using it.

I want to be confident that it won't break. The Galaxy S5 is resistant to sweat, rain, liquids, sand and dust. That sounds like the kind of phone I could do with in my life.

I want the battery to last. At the moment, the screen flickers when I hit 30% battery and it drains to 0% in a matter of minutes. Very frustrating. It also needs to be charged to 100% at least twice a day. I don't use it that often, I promise!

So, why do I think I deserve to win a new phone? Well it's simple. I would like the fairytale ending to a time-old tale of unrequited love. I simply want my phone to love me as much as I love it and not to stop working at the most inopportune moments.
