The Photo Gallery: Week 182
A Favourite Place
You have probably all seen this view before if you have ever looked at my blog before. It's the view from my Grandma's Bed and Breakfast in the Yorkshire Dales. We spend most weekends there, especially since my Grandma was diagnosed with end stage cancer in December. She still soldiers on.
It's one of my favourite places to be, the most beautiful view in the world and a magnificent house (in my humble opinion). Lucky I love it there, because we are moving there full time in July, to take over the running of the B&B. It's a scary prospect, but one which is exciting at the same time. There will be an awful lot of hard work required, but we will be spending far more time together as a family. Our children will have a garden to play in (currently we just have a small back yard) and we will be surrounded by countryside.
As a child, when we used to visit my Grandma, my favourite place in the house was inside the airing cupboard. It was warm, dry and cosy. I used to sit on the top shelf with a book, shut away from the world, warm and happy. I only wish the top shelf would still hold my weight!
