How to catch a star by Oliver Jeffers 10th anniversary edition and giveaway

We were recently sent a 10th anniversary special edition of How to Catch a Star by Oliver Jeffers. I love Oliver Jeffers books, but have to admit to not having read this one before.

How to catch a star
I really enjoyed this story, as did the children, who are three and five. I think they're the perfect age. They have had fun trying to catch stars in their bedroom! We read a bedtime story to the children every night, and this is one which they keep going back to.

Maze

The boy also really enjoyed doing the worksheets which came in our pack. He is rather obsessed with doing mazes and this was his first ever dot-to-dot. He kind of grasped it!

Dot to dot

What they say

There once was a boy…

and the boy loved stars very much…

There once was a boy who loved stars so much that he wished he had one of his very own. Every night he watched the stars in the sky from his bedroom window and dreamed of how he could be their friend and how they could play hide-and-go-seek together. So, one day, he decided to set about catching a star of his very own…

I was incredibly grateful for the star shaped USB storage. In fact, it had the unenviable task of keeping my completed dissertation safe until I had a chance to print it out!

Space wall

We stuck the glow in the dark stars on the boy's space wall in his bedroom. They look absolutely fantastic, and fit in really well.
