We were recently sent a Heat Holders Snuggle Ups blanket in Moon Rock colour. I was interested to review it because we have moved to an incredibly cold house and any means we can use to keep warm is greatly appreciated!
I can honestly say that this is one of the warmest blankets
I have ever used. In our old house we used to leave the heating off but light
the log burner and snuggle under blankets in the living room. Now that we’re in
grandma’s house, the boiler is from 1926 and as such, incredibly inefficient. I
imagine that we will be doing an awful lot of snuggling up in front of the
fire.
This is where the heat holder blanket comes in. It is 1.6 tog
and incredibly soft. Originally when we were asked to review it, I thought that
it would be really useful for the B&B, we could simply place it on guest’s
beds to keep them extra warm in the colder months.
What they say
"It’s what many of you have been waiting for! The phenomenal success of our Heat Holders socks has led to several additional products, such as hats and gloves (and the new Snugover fleece jumper!) but this is – literally – the big one! Our new Heat Holders 'Snuggle Up' Thermal Blanket is a luxuriously soft fur fleece we call Heatweaver, that has been developed with the main intention of being efficient at retaining heat, which is why it has an official tog rating of 1.6 – it’s measurably warmer to the touch.
The SockShop Heat Holders Snuggle Up Thermal Blanket is a big 180 x 200cm so you can wrap up warmly in it on those chilly evenings. It’s incredibly soft and very easy to look after, as it’s fully machine washable. So with heating costs rising, don’t get cold – get a Heat Holders Snuggle Up Thermal Blanket!"
What we think
It matches the sofa in our living room and we have used it
every single day since we received it. The children are using it as an excuse
to wander around in their pants, by going to warm up in the living room under
the blanket. Also now that the evenings are getting a little nippier, my husband and I have been snuggling underneath it on the sofa to keep us warm, rather than lighting a fire. It's a really large blanket and can fit the entire family underneath it should it need to.
I shall definitely be investing in some more of these for the
guest bedrooms. They are priced at £24.99 which I think is very reasonable. They look fantastic and are also incredibly warm. I haven’t
tried to wash it yet, but the washing instructions are simple and I imagine
that it will be a simple procedure. If you want to find out more, check out their website.
Disclosure: We received a Heat Holders blanket for the purpose of review. All opinions in this post are my own and are honest and fair.
