The Photo Gallery - Week 204
Autumn

Hello, hope you remember me! The last time I had a chance to join in with The Gallery was back in May. Right in the middle of my exam chaos. I'm sorry I haven't been around. A lot has changed. I have graduated, suffered loss and am now working full-time alongside being a mother and trying to blog. So life definitely hasn't got any easier. But I am determined to get back to blogging and the one thing this prompt has always encouraged me to do is to take better pictures. In fact, I think I have Tara to thank for my current passion for photography.

I couldn't decide between two pictures, so I have decided to go with both of them! The first picture above is one of my favourite parts of autumn, hunting for conkers. I have been so jealous of all the Instagram pictures of conkers because up here we are usually around two weeks after the southern parts of the UK. Finally, in the last couple of days we have started to see conkers falling off the trees. We are lucky to have a horse chesnut tree in the garden, so hunting for conkers is very easy here. I love the way the spiky shells are so, so smooth inside.

My second picture, above is of the leaves on one of my favourite pubs. Again, the leaves tend to change colour a little later up here. I was down in Wales last week and the leaves had already started to change colour and depart the trees. It has just started up here this week. I love that these leaves have so many different colours in them. It won't be long before they are off the branches and onto the ground.
