It's been almost exactly two months since I last posted a 'What has made me happy', and I apologise for that. The past two months have been rather stressful and quite upsetting. It's important to me to carry on with these posts though. As I said in my post on Saturday, I am in the process of finding my new normal and working out how to deal with grief. I'm getting there. There are good days and bad days, but I'm getting there.
I'm not going to try and catch up on all the weeks that I have missed. There have simply been too many and too much has happened. However, I most definitely am back to looking for the best in things.
So, without further ado, here is what has made me happy this week...

I'm not going to try and catch up on all the weeks that I have missed. There have simply been too many and too much has happened. However, I most definitely am back to looking for the best in things.
So, without further ado, here is what has made me happy this week...
- Gorgeous sunsets which light up the whole sky in pinks, yellows and oranges. Breathtaking.
- Seeing the view in the morning. So many times on this blog I have wished for that view and now that we're living in grandma's house, we get to see it every single day.
- Autumn. I love it. I love everything about it. The fact that the days are getting cooler is quite exciting!
- We have been hunting for conkers in the garden and managed to find quite a few!

- The walk down to the church for the harvest festival. We really are blessed to live in such a wonderful place.
- Doing things which remind me of Grandma. Making jam from the raspberries in the garden. It's not something I have done more than once in the past, but I am already surprised at how easy it is. So much so that I have also made blackberry and vanilla jam too.
- Sitting on the terrace, drinking a gin and tonic in the sunshine on a Sunday. Again a tradition of grandma's which we are going to continue!
- Splashing in muddy puddles. I have donned grandma's wellies (I haven't found mine yet) and splashed along with the girl all the way to nursery. She was sodden when we arrived! Thank goodness for spare clothes.
- When the rain stops and it leaves behind these beautiful droplets which shine like jewels.
