In the Night Garden Phone Review

We were recently sent an In The Night Garden Little Phone. It is from 18 months plus and as my children are 3 and 5, I thought they might be a little bit old for it. How wrong I was. My daughter who is 3 has taken the phone everywhere with her. It helps that it is blue, because that's my daughter's favourite colour.

She really has played with it an awful lot. She uses it to take pictures, and enjoys pressing the correct colour buttons when asked. Mostly though, she just enjoys pretending to talk to her daddy when he is at work. My son, who is 5 has requested a similar phone from Father Christmas, because they are not yet brilliant at sharing!

What they say

In the Night Garden Little Phone

Call all of the In The Night Garden characters with this flip up phone.
Children will have lots of fun as they learn with the interactive little phone.
Flip open the colourful lid and press the call key to hear one of the characters talk. End the call with the hang up key or press any of the numbered keys to hear realistic tones.
Quiz mode teaches numbers and colours, just use the keys to answer.
If you press on the picture key to take a pretend picture, Igglepiggle and Upsy Daisy magically appear in the pretend screen as the camera click sounds.
Close the telephone lid and after a few seconds it calls them back, open it to answer the call.

Good points
Really easy for little hands to use.
Helps with recognition of colours and numbers.
It's not too loud.
Plays tunes and noises from In The Night Garden.
The picture of Upsy Daisy and Iggle Piggle lights up when you press the camera button.

Bad points
It would be good if the pictures on the top part of the phone were interactive.

The RRP for this phone is £12.99. It is currently at a lower price on Amazon. I think it is decently priced. This would make a great stocking filler for an In The Night Garden fan, a budding pretend photographer', or even just a child who wants to chat to their dad all day long.

Disclosure: We were sent this product for the purpose of review. This had no impact on the review, which is honest and fair.
