Red Nose Day is on Friday the 13th of March. It's set to be as humorous a day as ever and aims to raise even more for charity this year. Last year I was part of the Team Honk Relay, taking the baton from Leeds to Ilkley and looking fairly silly as I did it! This year Team Honk are taking part in a huge danceathon at Wembley. 500 Honkers are dancing non-stop for six hours at Wembley. It's my son's birthday party that day so I can't be there, but will be there in spirit! There will be different dance styles every thirty minutes and it sounds like fantastic fun! You can sponsor team honk here.
If you want to do something from the comfort of your own home, then how about purchasing a limited edition Persil small and mighty bottle, with a red dosing ball and funny face. We have reviewed Persil small and mighty before and I was seriously impressed, it even got jam stains out of my apron! Now I use it whenever I was the guest bedding, because the B&B guests seem to be very good at staining the bedding. I haven't struggled to get a stain out since using Persil! Persil are donating 8p to Comic Relief per promotional pack sold.
Together with PG tips, Persil aim to raise a whopping £1 million for Red Nose Day 2015. This money goes to help people living in the UK and Africa. So you can also help raise money for Red Nose Day simply by buying promotional packs of PG tips. They will also donate 8p to Comic Relief per promotional pack sold. So you can help to change lives simply by having a cup of tea and doing the laundry! Products will be in the shops until the end of March.
Monkey has also taken on a monumental mission for Red Nose Day. You can watch the video below!
You can also buy t-shirts from TK Maxx to help raise money for Comic Relief. Profits from the sale of each T-shirt are donated to Comic Relief. This year there are seven different t-shirt designs and also a onesie! The designers include: Anya Hindmarch, Karl Lagerfeld, Diane von Furstenberg, Henry Holland and Matthew Williamson and it's fair to say that the collection is rather eclectic. My absolute favourite design is this Henry Holland 'I have a cunning plan'.
This t-shirt range starts at £5.99 and is available exclusively in TK Maxx stores and tkmaxx.com. A whole host of celebrities including Nicole Scherzinger, Debbie Harry, David Gandy, Gemma Arterton and Tom Hiddleston have pledged their support to the campaign by wearing an exclusive T-shirt and wearing something funny for money in support of Red Nose Day.
There are so many ways that you can raise money for Comic Relief, and they don't all involve getting messy/dirty/silly. You can do you bit by staying dry and warm at home, whilst having a cup of tea!
Obviously if you want to get messy or just be silly, then you absolutely can. For fundraising idea, check out the Red Nose Day website.
