Fat Face New Summer 2015 Collection

A couple of weeks ago FatFace launched a new Summer 2015 collection, "Take me to the weekend". The idea behind this being that it aims to make every weekend an adventure, either at home, a festival, a picnic with friends or a trip away. I was sent two items from the new collection, the Jade Indigo Diamond Maxi Skirt and the Linen V Neck Pineapple Punch Tee

Jade Indigo Diamond Maxi Skirt
Usually we opt for staycations, visiting family over the UK, or a trip to my Aunt's house in France for our holidays, however this year we went on our first family holiday together abroad in a hotel. The new clothes arrived just before we left, so I popped them in my suitcase (with the tags still attached), to enjoy on holiday.

I wore the maxi skirt out to dinner one night. I teamed it with a white v-neck Monsoon top which I have had for quite a few years now and some sparkly shoes from TK Maxx which I bought for our holiday. I also wore the skirt with a more fitted top during the day and it looked great like that too. It's a really versatile piece which works well dressed up and down. It was suitable to cover up bikini bottoms too and was really easy to throw on.

The fabric is really nice and I love the way it moves when you walk. My son (age six) took this photo of me, hence the blurriness, but I think it shows the shape of the skirt well. The maxi skirt retails at £45 and it's a great addition to my wardrobe!

Pineapple punch top back

I love the vibrancy of the pineapple punch top. The detail on the back is fabulous too and I think the low v on the back with a tie detail at the top is really nice. I also like how long the top is at the back too, it's very flattering if, like me, you don't particularly like your bum! I teamed this top with my high waisted skinny jeans from New Look, a white vest top from Primark because it was a little chilly that night and my sparkly shoes from TK Maxx again.

The front of the top is very flattering too, it's a scoop neckline which really suits me. The top is also baggy around the middle, which is great if you are conscious about your stomach. The top measures quite large, I think to be baggy, but if you want something a little tighter then perhaps pick a size smaller. Again, this item is really versatile. In the day I wore it with shorts on the beach and it was nice to dress it up a little at night. The top retails at £38.00. The pattern really is fantastic and I love that the hibiscus flowers on my top were also the local flowers in Lanzarote.

Huge thanks to Fat Face for sending me these clothes. It's not often I receive something for me, it's usually for the children and it felt like a wonderful treat. I shop in Fat Face regularly because I find their clothes really flatter my shape, and it was nice to see some of their collection before they were in store! Disclosure: I was provided with these two items for the purpose of this post. This had no impact on my post, which is honest and fair.
