What greater symbol of being a blogger is there than eating Christmas chocolates in October in order to review them? I am absolutely not complaining, especially as my birthday is right at the end of October! We took a special box of Christmas Hotel Chocolat chocolates over to Center Parcs in Holland during half term so that we could put them to the taste test!
We were sent the Classic Christmas H Box, a selection of 14 Christmas flavoured chocolates which retails at £12. With flavours ranging from Mince Pie Brownie to Almond Milk Christmas Tree and Brandy Butter, there really is something for everyone in this selection box. We sat and ate these with friends and they didn't last long, although they are very rich, so it's difficult to have more than two or three in one go (trust me, we gave it a good go)!
My personal favourite was the gingerbread praline, which was every bit as delicious as it sounds. This was followed in close second place by the Eton Mess, with a hint of cinnamon. The overall opinion of all of us was that this box of chocolates tasted like Christmas, which is a great thing. They were absolutely delicious and these will definitely be on my list to Father Christmas this year!
