Last year we were lucky enough to be asked to be Geronimo Festival Ambassodors. We had an incredible day out at Tatton Park and were entertained from the beginning to the end of the day. This year, Geronimo has announced a new additional venue for the festival, Harewood House. The largest children's festival in the North West will be swinging back into action from May the 1st until the 2nd at Harewood House and also be returning to Tatton Park from the 29th to the 30th of May.
In the past week it has been confirmed that Cbeebies star Justin Fletcher will be the headline act. I don't know of any children who don't love Justin Fletcher and he never fails to entertain. The biggest star on British children’s TV will be performing for one day only at each festival on Sunday 29th May at Tatton Park and 1st May at Harewood House. I think he's a great addition to the line-up, which includes Mr Bloom, Andy Day, Alex Winters, Cook and Line and there are more acts still to be announced. Geronimo is aimed at families with children between two and twelve
There are so many different zones and activities going on and you won't fail to be entertained.
The Adrenaline Zone will challenge even the bravest adventurers with tree climbing, den making and a thrilling zip line that will reach speeds of up to 60KPH! For those who like things a little less fast paced, there are fencing and archery taster lessons and Parkour sessions where Geronimites can learn how to jump and roll like a Pro.
New for 2016 is the Arena Zone, an extravaganza of live displays which even features motorbike display teams. Your budding historians can check out the Knights of the Royal Order as they carry out a live joust, or watch a local band of cowboys showing off their horse handling skills. For the smaller Geronimites, there is the the 3ft and Under Zone where little ones can join a fun class with Tumble Tots, take a ride on a balance bike or take a dance lesson with baby ballet. There will be live music throughout the day in the Bandstand Zone. The full line-up for this will be announced soon.
My son's highlight from Geronimo at Tatton Park in 2015 was being on stage with Sam and Mark. He had an incredible time and they were so wonderful with him.
This year's festival looks set to be bigger and better than last year. We've been asked to be ambassadors again this year and will be heading to Harewood House as it's the closest venue to us. I for one, can't wait!
Tickets are priced at £25.00pp.
