We have been so busy in the B&B during the Easter
holidays, so when I was asked if me and my family would like to review
Blackpool Circus and Blackpool Sealife, I jumped at the chance. I booked a
hotel and the four of us were off for a couple of days in Blackpool, in between
guests staying at the B&B. We had only been asked to review the circus and
Sealife, but I took a coupon from a cereal packet that meant I could get in
free to Blackpool Tower if I paid for my children. We headed straight to the
Tower when we arrived.
I have visited Blackpool many, many times, but never been up the Tower at all, or even inside the building. You are taken on a brief tour and then shown a film before being taken into the 4D cinema for an amazing experience. It was fantastic fun and both children really enjoyed it. Be warned, you might get wet!
It took a little bit of persuading my daughter to stand on the glass floor in the tower. To be fair, I completely understood and was a little hesitant myself! Once she had got over her initial fear and realised that it was safe, she was fine and even jumped up and down on it.
Our first day in Blackpool had been a success and we were really looking forward to our next day. We started off at Sealife Blackpool right on the promenade. It was a miserable day and we were really looking forward to being inside and dry!
Sealife was great fun. We have visited many different Sealife centres in the UK and Blackpool was up there with my favourites. There are so many different exhibits and for once our children didn't rush around, so we didn't have to walk round twice! One of my favourite things are the jellyfish and I adore the way the lights seem to make them change colour. I could genuinely spend hours watching them!
There were some really odd creatures (you can see them in my vlog at the end) which I had never seen in my life before. I loved the interactive areas and my children had an amazing time playing against each other.
Next up was Blackpool Tower Circus. The last circus experience we'd had was at a different one in Blackpool and it wasn't all that great to be honest, so I was hoping this would be better. I certainly wasn't disappointed. The gymnasts and athletes who perform at the Blackpool Tower Circus are breathtakingly good. There was one moment that I genuinely couldn't watch (in case it went wrong), but other than that I really enjoyed the show.
It was filled with incredible stunts and moments of pure strength, grit and determination! I was astounded that when, on one occasion a stunt went wrong, the gymnasts simply started again and made sure they got it right. I was so impressed with their strength.
It really was a spectacular show and was brilliant fun to watch. It also lasted a really long time so was a wonderful afternoon. The Blackpool Tower Circus is Blackpool's longest running show and has never missed a season since it started it 1894!
We had a fabulous two days in Blackpool and wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

Disclosure: We were provided with tickets for two adults and two children for Blackpool Sealife and Blackpool Tower Circus but paid for Blackpool Tower for the purpose of this review. This had no impact on my post, which is honest and fair.
