Order Blinds Vertical Blind Review

My son is a child who really likes to sleep in pitch black. If there'seven a sliver of light then he wakes up. My daughter is the complete opposite and can sleep anywhere! We recently moved our son into his own room and it's been difficult keeping it dark enough. He was previously in an attic room and it was dark up there. When we were contacted by Order Blinds to ask if we would like to try out their vertical blinds, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get the room dark enough for my son.

The blind we chose was a fantastic teal colour. It comes in a pack with a separate rail and then all the bits you need to put it together. The instructions are well written and easy to follow and in total it took me around 20 minutes to fit the blind, which included putting it all together.

The blinds looked great when I had finished and I was impressed at how simple it was to draw. There are no hanging cords or anything which could endanger a child. I like the versatility of the vertical blinds too. They would be a great choice if you have really wide windows instead of roller blinds.

I think that the blinds look fantastic. They're very easy to use and you can draw them completely if you need to. Sadly for my son, they don't block out enough light and we have lined the curtains with blackout material to help with that. It does note on their website that with all vertical blinds, light can bleed in through the slats. I would recommend the vertical blinds. They are well made, easy to assemble and work well. For my son they didn't quite block out enough light, but he is exceedingly fussy with his levels of darkness!

Disclosure: We were provided with a vertical blind for the purpose of this review. This had no impact on my post, which is honest and fair.
