It's been a while since I wrote a 'what has made me happy' post. I'm hoping to write this every week again, as I really do love looking back on them! It's been a busy week of cleaning. Not the most exciting week in the world, but I spent all of January decorating, along with a decorator, so there was dust absolutely everywhere! We had B&B guests in this weekend, so I had to make sure that the place really was spotless when people arrived though. It's been a good week, in spite of all the cleaning, so here is what has made me happy.
I have got used to seeing the snowdrops dotted around the garden, that first sign of life in the winter. When I spotted this aconite poking through the snow it really made me smile. It's the first real splash of colour in the winter, and a sure sign that spring is around the corner. Such a beautiful sight, and I can't wait to see the daffodils and tulips popping up in the garden soon.
We had some slightly unexpected snow, which painted the whole landscape white. Everything looks so much prettier when it's covered in white. We had an absolutely glorious day of beautiful blue skies and sunshine and the snow didn't even melt. I had a wonderful walk in the snow which was so crisp and crunchy. A friend and I walked for around four miles and it was so much fun.

My daughter really made me giggle when I found her using two hairdryers to dry her plaits after swimming. She is utterly logical at times, and this really made me smile. She's quite a character, and this made total sense to her! I shall aim to publish these every Monday in the future, so I hope that you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them!
