I was challenged by wilko to see if I could transform an area of my garden for only £75. This couldn't have come at a better time, as we have been discussing making better use of the garden with an area for us to relax in. As it's a B&B, there are not very many areas which are private in the garden, so I wanted something that I could take down when guests were staying and put up again when we were alone. I had a look at the wilko website and was incredibly impressed at the huge range of products. There's something for you no matter how big or small your project is.
wilko challenged me to transform an area of my garden for £75. I really wanted to create a tranquil area to relax in when we don't have any B&B guests in. Here is what I bought:
I wanted to create somewhere nice and relaxing for us, with somewhere to sit and enjoy the garden. I opted for a large pot, some hydroballs, a silver obelisk and sweet pea seeds to create an amazing floral scent throughout the area. Sweet peas are my absolute favourite summertime scent, and I would love to sit near trailing sweet peas. I also chose a terracotta hanging planter, a cute pack of milk bottle drinks containers, solar powered lightbulbs and a deckchair.

The space that I wanted to transform is pretty plain, it's a little corner of the garden that is a real sun trap in the evening though, and I thought it would make a wonderfully relaxing spot. Everything that we received from wilko was simple to put together, although the obelisk took a little longer than I had expected!
The solar lightbulbs I chose are absolutely fantastic and emit so much more light than I had anticipated! They look wonderful either together or spread out in the garden. Whilst you probably couldn't see well enough to read by in the dark, they definitely give off enough light to sit by.

Finishing touches are a definite, and I love these super-cute coloured milk bottles with straws. These are great for the children, but you can also add a cheeky gin and tonic in for the adults too!
I am so, so pleased with the end result. The products are really good quality and we now have an area outside where we can sit and relax when we have a break from hosting guests. The fact that all the products are versatile and can be used in any part of the garden is really great. It also doesn't take long at all to set it up as an area to sit and relax in.
