We were recently sent a few products from Bacofoil® to try and make our Christmas dinner that little bit easier this year, including The Turkey Roasting Tray and the extra-wide Turkey Roasting Foil. The Bacofoil® Turkey Roasting Tray holds in all the juices from the meat, meaning you can get a perfect delicious crispy skin on your turkey. It's fuss-free and so simple to use and it is absolutely huge, so you will have no problem roasting a large turkey. The roasting tray is fully recyclable, saving time and effort on the washing up. The tray is also reusable - just give it a wash and use again. If you need to store your leftover turkey, you can leave it in the tray and simply cover with the Bacofoil® Turkey Roasting Foil.
Whilst the turkey was cooking, I prepped my vegetables (carrots, parsnips, onions and butternut squash) and placed them on Bacofoil® The Non-Stick Kitchen Foil. This foil has a unique BacoLift® surface which prevents the food from sticking. You need to cook on the non-shiny side, or dull side, as that is the one that has the BacoLift® surface. I popped a sprig of rosemary in and cooked for thirty-five minutes at 220°C.

I was very impressed that once cooked the food simply slid off the foil. It didn't stick at all, meaning that the vegetables were easy to pop into a dish and serve at the table. In fact, using this foil over other brands is a healthier option too because you don't need to use butter or oil as the food will simply slide off when cooked. This is another product which saves on washing up, and the Bacofoil® The Non-Stick Kitchen Foil is not just for Christmas, it can be used all year round with the same fantastic results. As Bacofoil® themselves say, this product is quite simply ‘No Sticking, No Cleaning, No Worries’.

My Christmas dinner was delicious and has made me even more excited about lunch next week! I thought that the Bacofoil® products definitely helped to make cooking easier. I shall be using the Bacofoil® The Non-Stick Kitchen Foil far more regularly from now on as I was so impressed with the non-stick BacoLift® surface.
I decided this year that I would make my own gingerbread house as a centrepiece for the Christmas table. I have done the kits before, but never made the whole thing from scratch. The gingerbread mixture was easy to make, and I left it to cool for 30 minutes before I tried to form it as initially it was a little bit sticky.
I rolled the gingerbread dough out on to Bacofoil® Non-Stick Baking Paper, which has a unique textured surface. It is covered in little dimples, which mean there is less surface area in contact with the bake, so your food bakes evenly. It's also non-stick on both sides of the paper, so you don't need to use a specific side. All of the gingerbread simply slid off when it was cooked. Sadly, the Bacofoil® Non-Stick Baking Paper doesn't help with human error, meaning I did burn the first batch of gingerbread! I figured that once it was covered in icing and sweets, no-one would notice that a bit of it was slightly more brown!
The Bacofoil® Non-Stick Baking Paper does not need to be greased due to the non-stick surface. It also protects the tray, meaning you don't need to wash that up. It's perfect for all kinds of baking, be it sweet or savoury. Once the gingerbread was cooked, I had to balance it all together with as much icing as I could so that it didn't fall down. I balanced two mugs underneath the roof and removed them very carefully when I thought it had set. I am really impressed with the results, and had great fun decorating it with sweets.
The Bacofoil® products definitely made cooking Christmas dinner far easier and took a lot of the stress out of preparing food. I'll be using these products again on Christmas Day to cook dinner for everyone. The gingerbread house will be our table centrepiece, and also part of our dessert on Christmas Day. I'm looking forward to eating it! For more information about Bacofoil® products, check out their website.
