Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure #ADGift

Disclosure: We were sent a code to review this game for the purpose of this review.

We're big fans of Ice Ace in this house and have watched all the films, so were excited when we were asked to review Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure, a new 3D action adventure game.  My son got an Xbox for Christmas, but he only has two games on that, so we thought it would be great to try something slightly different from what he's used to playing. It also is a game which I thought my daughter would enjoy playing too.

Ice Age Scrat's Nutty Adventuure

Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure sees everyone’s favourite sabre-toothed squirrel embark on an epic quest through classic Ice Age locations to recover his cherished acorn from the ancient Scratazon Temple. The player guides Scrat through a perilous journey across icy terrains, raging geysers and burning lava. You can explore adventure-packed locations in order to discover treasures that unlock special powers and help Scrat to jump higher, grab heavier objects and find every last treasure in this all-new Nutty adventure!

We have really enjoyed playing Scrat's Nutty Adventure so far (although it's only been a couple of days). My children are eight and ten and both find this challenging enough. It makes me giggle that my son calls the jumping parts parkour, I think he's been playing a little too much of another game. I've had a go at Scrat's Nutty Adventure myself, it'd be rude not to when the kids are at school, and I find it difficult enough to keep me entertained. There is a decent amount of skill involved in having to jump and fight your way through the different worlds. The graphics are fantastic and it's great to see other Ice Age characters throughout the game.
